Medical Students at Market Cross Surgery
Market Cross Surgery is now a designated training practice for medical students from the University of Nottingham.
Under the supervision of Dr Barratt and all the GPs, we will host final year students for their four week general practice attachment. The students will observe the work of various members of the practice and community team as well as participating in student surgeries, where they will consult with patients under the supervision of a GP. They will not be making any clinical decisions without one of the GPs approval.
Taking in students may help to promote general practice as a future career and we hope very much that you will support them and agree to spend some of your time with them.
Last year was our first year of taking medical students which proved very successful for the students and the practice team. We look forward to welcoming 3 more students over the coming months from June 2018 onwards.
Patient Participation Group
The last Patient Participation Group Meeting was held at the surgery on Monday 23rd April 2018; the date of the next meeting will be published shortly
