NEW COMPUTER SYSTEM

We have recently migrated to a new computer system.  We would like to inform you that there will be some extra work behind the scenes over the coming months.  We are working hard to ensure that this causes minimal disruption to the day to day running of the surgery and to our registered patients

If you were previously registered for online services, this service has not migrated across from the old to new system.  We therefore request that you contact our Reception Team on 01476 550056 to apply for online services for our new system

Our Reception Team are working as fast as they can, to deal with the number of patient's currently contacting us to register for the new online service.  They may not be able to deal with your request immediately,  therefore, please bear with them

We will post relevant updates with regards to the new system on this website

Thank you for your continued support and understanding

FLU VACCINATION PROGRAMME 2021-22

Our Flu Vaccination campaign is now underway.  Our supplies have been slightly delayed by the current transportation issues, experienced by many businesses.

For patients over the age of 65 years, we have two Saturday clinics arranged for 2nd October and 16th October 2021.  You will require an appointment to attend one of these clinics, therefore, please contact our Receptions Team to book in.

If you are currently 64 years of age, but will have your 65th Birthday between now and 31st March 2022, please book in for one of these vaccinations clinics

We are currently contacting eligible patients, aged 64 years and under, to arrange appointments for flu vaccinations.   Clinics for this cohort of patients are being added as our vaccinations supplies arrive, therefore, please bear with us.  You will be contacted by us.

All clinics are by appointment only, if visiting the surgery for another consultation, you will be offered a flu vaccination during that appointment, if  you are eligible.

Please do NOT attend the surgery if you have symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days

Thank you for your continued support and understanding

COVID-19 BOOSTER VACCINATION PROGRAMME 2021-22

  • Been vaccinated earlier this year with the 1st and 2nd doses of the vaccine
  • Your booster dose will not be given until 6 months after your 2nd dose
  • You must have at least a 7 day gap between your flu vaccination and the COVID-19 booster

If your record does not show a mobile number, please contact the surgery no earlier than 6 months after your 2nd COVID vaccine

NEW PRACTICE NURSES

We welcomed two new Practice Nurses to the practice team in September 2021.  Linda McWilliam Jones, joined us on 1st September 2021 and Diane Sinclair, joined us on 6th September 2021

COVID-19 INFORMATION

As you will be aware the Government announced the final relaxation of the COVID-19 rules in July 2021.  However, advice to patients, visiting any Healthcare setting, including the surgery, is that they should continue to follow the existing COVID-19 safety measures after this date.

You should continue to contact the practice by telephone.  You will be offered one of a range of consultations, including face-face where clinically indicated

Access to the practice will only be granted to patients who have a pre-booked appointment or prescription to collect.

If you are offered a face-to-face appointment you should attend the practice alone, where possible, due to social distancing measures, and you will be required to wear a face covering unless you are medically exempt.

You will also be required to sanitise your hands on arrival and when leaving the surgery.

Please be assured that we continue to offer high quality and safe healthcare, as we have throughout this challenging time.  We would like to thank you for your continued support and understanding.
