A PPG is a Patient Participation Group, the members are a group of patients registered with our practice. They have no medical training, but have an interest in the services provided and are keen to work in Partnership with the practice. The aim of a PPG is to represent patients’ views, support diversity and to work in partnership with the surgery to improve common understanding; help patients to take more responsibility for their health; contribute to improvements of services and quality of care and work towards better and improved communications.
The Practice is looking for people from all ages and backgrounds who are enthusiastic about influencing and improving the way that local healthcare is delivered. In order for the group to be effective, the number of members will be kept to a reasonable amount.
